Grant
County Marching Band finishes the season 8th in the State among many
great AAAA bands.
Grant County finished another great season on November 1, 2008. They came to the field and accomplished their greatest goal. The performed their piece "Scenes from Nippon" better than they had all season long and entertained and awed the crowd. Proving not only to themselves, but to the crowd, that they don't need a Cup to prove that they are Champions.
Lead to the field by ,Senior Drum Major, Taylor Nicholson the band came prepared to fight for those 4 final seats to Papa John's Stadium at U of L.
Although Grant County did not advance to the final rounds, they boarded the buses and headed to Papa John's Stadium where they showed their support for the 20 bands that did advance to finals competition. GCMB showed their respect for each band that took the field by standing and applauding each band that took the field.
"Scenes from Nippon" may have ended tonight, but the program picks up and moves forward to next year tomorrow.
